Many experts are forecasting disaster if we continue to see global climate continue to get warmer. However, I read a very interesting study in Mining News Digest edited by Richard Mills based on Serbian astrophysicist Milutin Milankovitch's research...he is best know for his theories relating to Earth's motions and long term climate change.

Listeriosis is a serious infection caused by the bactera Listeria monocytogenes. It is a foodborne illness with the usual culprits being hot dogs, deli meats and soft cheese. In some such ready-to-eat foods, contamination may occur after factory cooking prior to packaging. The problem with the Listeria bacteria is that it can grow and multiply in the refrigerator.

The picture alongside is a shocking example of pollution in a developing nation. We tend to think that pollution occurs only in "third world" countries. It doesn't. It happens everywhere.
